Replacing the Gearbox Oil in a Volkswagen Transporter

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to replace the gearbox oil in a Volkswagen Transporter. First, lift the vehicle and remove the lower splash guard under the bumper by taking out all the screws. Now, using a 17mm spanner, unscrew the gearbox oil drain bolt. Before refitting it, make sure to drain all the old oil thoroughly. Once the bolt is back in place and tightened properly (with a torque wrench if possible), insert the new gearbox oil through the filler cap (above the drain) using a pump or syringe. Use only high-quality oil.
