Installation of the Thule awning on a Volkswagen Transporter T6

In this video, we see how to install an awning on a Volkswagen Transporter T6: these awnings can easily be found online, and depending on the type, size, and other specifications, they have variable prices - however, they are generally high due to their high quality - so we do not give purchasing recommendations, as they are highly customizable to individual needs. We start by taking measurements from the edge of the body, where we will drill two pilot holes with a 10 mm drill bit. We apply primer to the holes and then silicone. It is then time for the nuts for the roof support brackets: these also need to be coated with silicone. We place washers, then the bracket, and tighten the bolts with the nuts. On the horizontal brackets, we now place the vertical ones, which will support the awning. We screw them onto the bases we had previously positioned, and now we can install the awning package, bolting it to the top of the two brackets. We further secure it with self-tapping screws. Now all that remains is to put a seal at the bottom so that when it rains heavily, there are no splashes under the awning.
