Replacing the Fuel Pump on a Volkswagen Jetta

How to replace the fuel pump on a Volkswagen Jetta? First, disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions of the car; unscrew the metal cap retaining screws using a socket wrench (screwdriver) and remove it from its seat, cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to soak up any fluid leaks. Unscrew the fuel pump retaining clamp, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Extract the floating fuel pump from its seat with the attached parts. Finally, install a new part.
