Where is the Cigarette Lighter Fuse on a Volkswagen Transporter?

If the cigarette lighter is malfunctioning, first check the fuse. The fuse for the cigarette lighter on a Volkswagen Transporter model T6 is located inside the fuse box behind the driver's side glove compartment. To replace the fuse, remove the protective cover of the box and use a pair of needle-nose pliers to replace fuse C49, rated at 15 Amperes, with one of the same amperage. Once the replacement is complete, close the box and test the operation of the socket.
