If the cigarette lighter socket in the Volkswagen Transporter T5 van is not working, it is likely that the fuse is at fault, and its location is shown in this video. As we can see, it is not located with the other fuses in the main fuse boxes, but is positioned beneath the passenger seat.

To access it, simply slide the seat slightly without the need to remove any components. If it is damaged, always replace it with a fuse of the same amperage, which is 15A, ensure the vehicle is off, and use the appropriate pliers provided.
