How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

You can completely clear the Service light displayed on the instrument cluster of the Volkswagen Polo by holding down the left button located in the centre of the instrument cluster while it is turned off. While holding it down, insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn it to activate the instrument cluster: once it is on, release the button and then press the 0.0/SET button next to it. Once this button is pressed, the Service light will be cleared: you can turn off and on the instrument cluster to verify the reset.
