In this video, see how to replace the front suspension arm on a Volkswagen Polo IV: lift the car and secure it on a jack stand, then loosen the wheel bolts and remove the wheel. Use a wire brush and WD-40 to clean the rusty bolts and unscrew the arm's fittings, disconnecting the ball joint from the hub. Remove the damaged arm, clean the supports well, and install the new arm (which can be found, for example, on motointegrator.it with code 19820 at a price of £29.92 + £9.95 for shipping) using a hydraulic jack to align it: use only new bolts to avoid failures. Tighten the ball joint to 20 Nm and the front support to 70 Nm. Refit the wheel, cleaning the brake disc with degreaser spray, and apply copper grease to the joints. Refit the wheel and tighten the bolts in a cross pattern to 120 Nm.
