How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B8, 3G, MK 8 - Years 2014-2023
Part: Service warning light

From the instrument cluster of the Volkswagen Passat, you can completely clear the Service light by pressing and holding the button marked "0.0" located in the centre of the instrument cluster. While holding it down, turn the key to activate the instrument cluster: a message will appear on the menu asking if you want to confirm the reset of the Service light. To confirm, press the button in the centre of the instrument cluster again. Once the reset is complete, you can turn off the ignition by removing the key from the lock.
