How to Remove the Headlining from a VW Golf 5

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

A common fault on various models from the German manufacturer is the detachment of the headlining covering. This repair can also be done DIY; it involves peeling off the old covering, removing any residual glue from the support, and gluing on the new one. However, to do this, you first need to extract the headlining from inside the cabin, which requires removing the coverings from all the pillars, namely those of the windscreen, doors, and rear hatch. Once the pillar coverings are removed, detach the interior lights and grab handles. At this point, it is possible to slide the headlining out through the rear of the vehicle via the boot opening.
