How can you replace the battery of your Golf's remote when it runs out? In this article, we will see the answer. For this operation, you will need a flat screwdriver or a kitchen knife and a CR2032 battery. Press the button to lift the key blade, then use the screwdriver to pry open the centre of the key to remove the front cover located under the Volkswagen logo. Once the plastic cover is removed, you will have access to the battery; use the screwdriver again to lift and remove it. Now insert the new battery, then close the remote by pressing to reinsert the fastening clips and fold the key blade back. The procedure is complete.
