Removing the rear bumper from a Volkswagen Tiguan is a simple and quick task you can do yourself. Unscrew the nuts using a 10mm socket, located on the top of the bumper, underneath the hard plastic cover.

Unscrew the nuts using an 8mm socket, located on the rear wheel arches to release the sides of the bumper. Unscrew the nuts using a 12mm socket, located on the bottom of the bumper.

After removing all the nuts, unclip the bumper by pulling firmly, but be careful of the plastic clips and the number plate light connector.
