How do you remove the rear view mirror on a Volkswagen Golf 5? Let's see in this video how to take it apart. With a plastic lever we go to pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass of the same. We pry until the slide comes off the mirror; very delicate operation because the slide or the mirror itself could break. Once the damaged mirror has been removed: disconnect the glass power supply terminal. We can replace the damaged part with a new one. We are careful to engage the plastic snap clips in the mirror supports.
