Replacement of Steering Transmission Component

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

The necessary tools are a ratchet spanner, a set of fixed spanners, a puller, and various pliers. Lift the car on a ramp and remove the wheels to access the mechanics. Once you locate the faulty steering transmission, proceed to remove it from the support by unscrewing all the bolts and extracting the pins from the steering assembly. Use the puller and a drift to push the bolts out of their seats after thoroughly spraying them with penetrating oil. Remove the arms from the wheel side by unscrewing the retaining nut. Taking care not to damage the rubber boot, insert the new assembly into its seat. Reassemble the arm and the rest of the previously removed mechanics.
