Replacing the Engine Air Filter

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

The engine air filter is integrated into the plastic cover that encloses the top of the engine: to replace it, you need to remove this cover; start by disconnecting the intake duct hose fixed at the front of the cover, then move on to the vacuum duct and the sensor connector located right next to it; grasp the cover and pull it upwards to detach and remove it; once the cover is off, turn it upside down and unscrew the fastening screws of the air filter housing to complete the replacement.
