How to replace the air filter on a Volkswagen Golf VII?

Let's see how to change the air filter on a Volkswagen Golf VII. The air filter is located in a black plastic housing on the right side of the engine bay; unlock the clips with a screwdriver by pressing the plastic tabs; some models may also have a small bolt at the bottom. Disconnect the electrical connector of the airflow sensor mounted on the cover and open the box; you may need to unclip the flexible hose that goes to the engine, remove the used filter, clean the inside of the box from dust and debris, and insert the new filter, ensuring the correct orientation. Refit the cover, making sure all clips are securely closed. Reconnect the air hose and the sensor. Check that everything is in place and you're done.
