Removing the Heater Resistor on a Golf 5

Here’s how to remove the heater resistor on a Volkswagen Golf 5. Use a lever to remove the plastic cover under the glove compartment on the right, then unscrew the fastening screws (where the fan is located) with a screwdriver. Remove the protection underneath it. Disconnect the large electrical connector of the fan, then extract the resistor. Insert a new fan resistor (connect the power connector). Finally, refit the cover and tighten the screws. Test the air operation after reassembling all parts.
