Disassembling the glove compartment of a Volkswagen Golf

These brief and simple steps will illustrate the procedure for disassembling and replacing the glove compartment of a Volkswagen Golf. First, open the front passenger door and start removing the side plastic cover of the dashboard by disconnecting the electrical connector; then unscrew the side screws with a T20 Torx key, followed by the lower screws and the screws located inside the glove compartment, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the plastic cover of the centre console and disconnect the wiring located behind the glove compartment, then remove the entire component; proceed with repair or replacement!
