Removing the Rear Bumper on a VW New Beetle

Is the rear bumper of your Beetle due for replacement? Unsure how to remove it? Start by lifting the rear hatch, then unscrew the retaining screws located at the top of the bumper, including those inside the boot. After removing the screws, take off the rear lights by unscrewing the screws inside the right and left wheel arch liners (lift the car on a column lift). Once all screws are removed, detach the bumper from all its parts. Fit the new bumper over the car's body along with all the retaining screws and lights.
