Replacing Bumper on New Beetle

Need to remove the rear bumper of the Volkswagen New Beetle if damaged? Here's how to do it from the front of the car. Lift the bonnet and secure it. Remove the retaining screws above the bumper (after opening the tailgate), unscrew the screws in the wheel arch liners (remove the clips located at the bottom of the bumper). Remove the rear lights from the car (unscrew the lights from inside the boot). Remove the bumper from the body of the vehicle by hand. To proceed with the installation, align the bumper on the body of the vehicle and tighten all screws around the wheel arch liners and along the perimeter. Finally, reinstall the rear lights of the car.
