Removing the Shock Absorber on a Volkswagen Amarok

Do you want to replace the front shock absorber on a Volkswagen Amarok? Here’s how to remove it. Raise the vehicle on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the mounting bolts of the shock absorber from the wheel hub (detach the brake line tubes with a screwdriver). Remove the CV joint if you encounter difficulties removing the shock absorber. Unscrew the bolts located in the engine bay (to the side), then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Install the new shock absorber with the dedicated spring.
