This guide shows how to replace the air conditioning fan of the Volkswagen Touareg Mk1. The first step is to remove the lamp holder panel from the passenger seat footwell. At this point, you can see the fan motor housing; this component is held in place by seven 5 mm bolts. Once the fan motor is unfastened, you can remove it after disconnecting the electrical connector. Extracting the part may be a bit tricky due to limited space. Install the new component by reversing the disassembly steps.
