How to Replace the Key Fob Battery in a Volkswagen Golf 5

To replace the battery in the key fob of a Volkswagen Golf 5, you will need a flat-head screwdriver and a new battery. The required battery model is a flat CR 2032, 3V. Take the key fob and press the button at the top end to release the metal key. Next, insert the screwdriver tip halfway into the groove of the fob and lever it to separate the two halves. Insert the screwdriver tip into the side edge of the bottom part of the fob and lever it to open. Remove the old battery and proceed with the replacement.
