First, you will need the Volkswagen Golf key, a flat 3V battery model 2025, and a flathead screwdriver. Take the key fob and press the button to release the metal blade, then take the screwdriver and insert it into the slot where the metal blade was housed, applying slight pressure to lift the cover of the key fob. Inside, you will find the battery. With the screwdriver in the designated slot, extract the battery and replace it with the new one. Reassemble the parts in reverse order.
