How to Replace Brake Discs

The following guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to best replace the brake discs on your car. The braking system of a car is of utmost importance for the safety of the driver and passengers. With a good level of manual dexterity, this procedure can be carried out independently, without necessarily needing the help of a mechanic. Once the caliper is facing you, lift the car with a jack and remove the wheel rim after loosening the wheel bolts with a hex key. You will then be able to slide off the brake caliper. Use a screwdriver to remove the brake pads located inside the bracket. At this point, you will be left with just the brake disc that needs to be replaced.
