To replace the front brake pads on a Volkswagen Tiguan, you need to lift the car so that the wheel corresponding to the pads being replaced is not in contact with the ground. Once the vehicle is lifted, you can unscrew the bolts securing the wheel to the hub, completely removing it to access the components at the back.

You will then need to loosen the bolts securing the brake caliper, detach it, and remove the pads inside. This way, you can refit the caliper by installing the corresponding wheel.
