The procedure for replacing the battery in the key fob of a Volkswagen Golf is very simple and does not require special tools. Take the key fob of your car and first press the button located at the top corner of the casing to release the metal key inside the fob. At this point, leverage with your fingers on the edge of the casing, exactly in the side cavity where the key was; this will open the battery compartment. Proceed to remove the exhausted battery and replace it. The required battery model is a flat CR 2025 3V.
