How to Replace the A/C Compressor on a Volkswagen Passat?

To remove and replace the air conditioning compressor on the vehicle, follow these instructions: First, open the bonnet and lift the vehicle on a ramp. On the left side of the engine, locate the auxiliary belt that needs to be loosened and removed. From underneath the engine bay, identify the compressor and use a 10 mm socket to unscrew the bolts securing it to the engine block. Once the compressor is free, disconnect the gas lines, and you will have completed the removal and can proceed with installing the new one.
