Today's guide shows the main steps to remove and replace the air conditioning compressor of the Volkswagen Passat. First, open the bonnet and disconnect the auxiliary belt; then lift the vehicle and disconnect the coolant pipes, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

At this point, unscrew the fastening screws of the air conditioning compressor, disconnect the wiring to remove it, and if necessary, replace it with a new one, applying the reverse procedure!
