First, purchase compatible batteries for this model of key fob; it requires a flat CR 2025 battery rated at 3V. To remove the worn battery and proceed with the replacement, first take the key fob and press the button to extend the metal key. At this point, hold the key fob in one hand and use the other to detach the plastic cover that conceals the battery. Using a thin blade, pry at the edge of the battery to easily extract it and replace it with a new one. Finally, reposition the cover and press until it clicks back into place.
