Replacement of Fuel Filler Flap

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Fuel cap

The fuel filler flap is connected to the opening and closing hinge, which is part of the rubber support surrounding the area around the cap; remove the cap, unscrew the fixing screw of this rubber support near the locking mechanism and completely remove it from its housing by disconnecting the overflow pipe; then attach the cap to the new rubber support, apply the overflow pipe and insert it into its housing, proceeding in reverse and then screwing the fixing screw and the cap itself.
