This brief video guide shows you the steps necessary to reset the service light, which indicates the remaining life of the engine oil, on a sixth-generation Volkswagen Golf, produced from 2008 to 2012. First, press and hold the button on the right side of the speedometer, then turn on the vehicle's ignition without starting the engine. Once done, you will see a reset request appear on the speedometer's information display. Release the previously pressed button and confirm the reset by pressing the "ok" button located on the right side of the steering wheel.
