First, download the free We Connect app for your smartphone. Depending on your operating system, you can find the Android version in the Google Play Store or the iOS version in the App Store.

Next, log in to the app with your Volkswagen ID. If you haven't created a Volkswagen ID yet, the app will guide you step by step through the registration process. Add your Volkswagen using the vehicle's chassis number (VIN). The VIN can be found in your registration documents and behind the windscreen of the vehicle.

At this point, you are ready to complete the activation by following the instructions in the app.

How to open the bonnet on a Volkswagen Golf?
