Instructions for Removing the Boot Lid

To remove the boot lid, first disconnect it from the wiring: start by removing the trim panel and the side pillars to access the wiring; then disconnect all connectors, including those for the wiper motor, locks, rear screen demister, and the washer tube; free all the grommets and pull the wiring to release the boot lid; at this point, you can unscrew the hinge pins of the boot lid and remove it from its position: it may be helpful to have someone assist you to avoid damage due to the considerable weight of the boot lid.
