To replace the air filter in the Volkswagen Golf 5 series, you must first remove the lower cover of the dashboard on the passenger side by unscrewing the two screws, which can also be unscrewed by hand without the use of tools, once the screws have been removed remove the cover, at this point you must grasp the pollen filter flange and slide it to the right to remove it, at this point remove the filter and insert the new filter. After installing the new filter, reassemble the flange holding the filter blocked with one hand, keeping the flange blocked against the filter, slide it to the left to reinsert it. Now reassemble the dashboard cover and screw the two plastic screws back on.
