How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter in a Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

To replace the cabin air filter in a Volkswagen Golf 5, open the passenger side glove compartment and empty it completely to facilitate access. Lower the drawer by releasing the side clips to reach the rear area of the dashboard where the pollen filter is located. Remove the filter cover by unclipping or unscrewing any securing screws. Carefully extract the old filter element, taking care not to disperse dirt into the duct. Insert the new filter, ensuring the airflow direction indicated by the arrows printed on the replacement is respected. Refit the cover, reposition the glove compartment, and check that all locks are correctly secured before fully closing it.
