Where is the EOBD Port on the Volkswagen Passat B7?

The EOBD (European On Board Diagnostic) port is the gateway through which your vehicle connects with workshop diagnostic tools. From this port, professionals can read all the errors that have accumulated in the ECU and understand what issues are affecting your vehicle. You can also use the EOBD port by connecting an OBDII reader, a device that can be purchased online for just a few dozen pounds. On the Volkswagen Passat (the one in the video has right-hand drive; for left-hand drive, the location is mirrored on the opposite side), the EOBD port is located under the dashboard, between the steering column and the driver’s door. It is visible as it is brightly coloured.
