Guide to Replacing the Front Headlamp

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Headlight

Remove the front grille and unscrew the screws securing the front bumper; there are 5 screws, 2 of which are hidden behind the lower grilles. Remove the screws in both wheel arches, then you can finally unscrew the screws that secure the headlamp to the vehicle body and disconnect the connector.
Now transfer all functioning bulbs from the old headlamp to the new one, taking care not to touch the bulbs with bare hands, and position the headlamp in place. Perform a quick functional test and finally proceed to reassemble the bumper and front grilles.
The necessary tools are:
- Torx screwdriver
- Replacement headlamp unit

This way, you will have repaired your Volkswagen Golf GTi at no cost.
