Resetting the Service Light on the Volkswagen Tiguan

Once you have changed the engine oil on the Volkswagen Tiguan, you need to reset the system that alerts you to the need for this operation with a warning on the display. Sit in the driver's seat, press and hold the button marked with the "00" symbol located in the centre of the instrument cluster between the rev counter and the speedometer, while simultaneously turning on the ignition. Hold for ten seconds, then release the button and press it briefly again. Turn off the ignition, and upon the next restart, you will have confirmation of the reset.
