Location of the Fuse Boxes on the Volkswagen Passat

When performing maintenance on the electrical system of the Volkswagen Passat, it is important to know the location of the fuse boxes. One box is located in the engine compartment, to the right of the battery, protected by a plastic cover that can be removed by acting on the fastening tabs. To find the other, open the driver's door and on the side of the dashboard, which would be hidden by the door, you will notice a cover that you will open by prying with a flathead screwdriver in a slot at the bottom. Attached to the cover, you will find a handy tool for removing the fuses.
