If you need to create a threaded hole in aluminium, it is first important to ensure that the component you want to work on has a thickness of at least 3 mm so that the subsequent threading allows for at least 4-5 threads. Once you have selected the area to drill and secured the element under the pillar drill, choose the drill bit whose diameter depends on the size of the tap you will use: generally, the bit should be about 1 mm smaller in diameter; drill the hole and then create the thread by lubricating the tap and turning it very slowly.
