Installing the VW Touran Window Regulator

Model: Volkswagen Touran MK 1, 1T - Years 2003-2015
Part: Power window motor

To install the integrated window regulator mechanism inside the door, first remove the outer trim panel. Once this panel is removed, there is another aluminium panel to which both the window motor and the mechanism are attached. Unscrew the fastening pins of this lower panel to remove it, first loosening the fastening pins of the clips that hold the glass. Then, install the new mechanism by inserting the captive pins and the motor housing bushings into their respective holes, before securing everything to the lower panel and then to the door.
