How to replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Passat?

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Passat, open the bonnet to access the components located in the engine compartment. On the left side of the engine, you will find the timing belt cover and some obstructing parts that need to be removed, such as the washer fluid reservoir. Once these components are removed, you can locate the timing belt, which can be taken out of its housing by loosening the central nut of the tensioner pulley. This will allow you to insert the new belt and reassemble all previously removed components.
