How to Reset the Service Light on the Volkswagen Transporter T5

Learn how to reset the "Service" message that appears on the dashboard of the Volkswagen T5 to remind you to perform scheduled maintenance, such as an oil change. Sit in the driver's seat, press and hold the button to the left of the display where the "service" message appears, turn the ignition key to switch on the instrument cluster, and after five seconds, release the button and turn the lever located to the right, below the rev counter, one click to the right. Switch off and then switch on the instrument cluster again to check that the operation was successful.
