How to Remove the Lights from a VW Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Headlight

Open and lift the bonnet. On the passenger side, remove the 3 screws next to the headlamp and the air intake duct that covers access to the back of the headlamp. On the driver’s side, lift the black panel behind the headlamp. This way, you can remove the covers that protect the back of the bulb connectors in the headlamps. Now you can remove the bulbs and replace them, although you may need to manoeuvre your hand slightly to extract them; otherwise, you will need to completely remove the front bumper to gain space and fully remove the headlamp for the necessary replacements.
