In order to adjust the handbrake of the Volkswagen Golf, you need to turn on the instrument panel by turning the key in the ignition switch: once the panel is on, you must press the brake pedal and then press the handbrake button, lifting and lowering it three times. This way you can release the button and the brake pedal, lifting the handbrake lever to the maximum height; in this way you can adjust the handbrake to the desired height, then turn off the instrument panel.
