How to repair the mirror of a Volkswagen Golf VII

In this video we see a simple and homemade method to repair the side mirror that had come loose from its support, of a Volkswagen Golf VII: we rotate the entire mirror in order to insert our fingers and gently remove it from its support. We disconnect the electrical connectors from the plastic support and also remove it from the cover. We clean everything very well and then start putting a thin line of silicone all around the back of the mirror; we continue on the entire surface and spread it by wrapping a finger in a piece of soft plastic (a plastic bag or mater-bi will work fine). We do the same thing on the plastic support and overlap them carefully: the glass part must protrude all around for about 2mm. We let it dry well for a couple of days and then reattach the electrical connectors and put everything back in its place.
