How do you replace the timing chain of the Volkswagen Tiguan?

In order to replace the timing chain of the Volkswagen Tiguan, you need to loosen the screws that secure the panel protecting the left side of the engine block: underneath it, you will be able to locate the chain, which can be removed from its housing by loosening the screws that secure the tensioner. Once the tensioner is removed, you will have access to the chain, which can be removed from its sprockets and replaced with a new one. After the replacement, you can reinsert the tensioner and then cover everything with the side protection panel.
