How do you replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Passat?

The procedure for replacing the timing belt of the Volkswagen Passat can be carried out by opening the hood, so that you have access to the components located inside the engine compartment: on the left side of the latter it will be possible to locate the timing belt. Here it will be possible to unscrew the central nut that secures the pulleys around which the belt is arranged: by reducing the tension, it will be possible to completely remove it from the pulleys, replacing it with a new spare part. After the replacement, the pulleys can be reattached, verifying that the engine turns correctly.
