How do you reset the Oil Service indicator of the Volkswagen Golf?

The procedure for resetting the Oil Service light on the Volkswagen Golf is done by holding down the 0.0 button located in the center of the instrument panel while the panel is off. Continuing to hold down the button, you will need to turn the key inside the panel so that the instrument panel lights up. Releasing the button will display a message asking if you really want to reset the maintenance and oil light. By pressing the OK button located on the lever to the right of the steering wheel or on its right spoke, you will be able to completely reset the light and make it disappear from the instrument panel.
