Today's step-by-step instructions will show us how to disassemble and replace the handbrake cable of the Volkswagen Jetta. First, lift the car and start by removing the front wheel; then disconnect the handbrake cable by unscrewing the nut from the adjuster, as shown in the video. Next, remove the plastic cover from the center tunnel, disconnecting the cable from the lever; now slide out the cable to remove it and replace it with the new one, of the correct type, then fix it to the lever and the rear part; all that's left is to adjust the cable!
